Gai Marchetto is a registered psychologist, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
She recently completed a Master of Applied Science in Coaching Psychology at Sydney University, and attended a ‘Coaching in Leadership and Healthcare’ conference through the Harvard Medical School, in Boston, in 2018.
Gai has a background in education, and has worked as a psychologist in secondary schools, as well as hospital, private and corporate settings. She provides psychological assessment, diagnosis and treatment for anxiety, depression, bereavement, transition/adjustment (birth, career change and retirement), and emotional self-regulation.
Gai has a focus on evidence-based approaches to optimising clients’ needs, using CBT, Schema, ACT and positive psychology models. She also incorporates mindfulness into her practice, and enjoys presenting psycho-educational workshops on mindfulness.
Gai is inspired by the possibility of ongoing change and development over a lifetime, including the capacity to take on different perspectives, and the variety, courage and resilience of clients.
